Monday November 6th

So we received great news today.  I got a call from our Living Donor Transplant coordinator today.  The news was GREAT!!!  I matched 2 out of 6 possible antigens.  This is fantastic, because most living donors who are not a blood relative to the recipient, usually match 0 out of 6 antigens.  I matched two already!  I wasn't aware of it, but at the same time they have already done most of the cross matching too!  They cross match B cells and T cells.  Our T cells have come up negative.  This is great because negative means we didn't kill each other in the Petri dish, or basically more simplistically Johnson didn't reject me.  Our B cell tests were inconclusive, so I have to re-do one set of blood tests again on Thursday.  They will also do my final blood tests, to check for virus's etc.  I suspect that will all go fine as well!  The coordinator suspects our B cells will be fine as well, as all tests are so positive already, she would be surprised if they didn't test negative too.

We are so HAPPY, EXCITED and NERVOUS all at the same time!  It's like trying to get pregnant and getting your hopes all up.  What a whirl wind! I always tell Johnson it's a good thing I love the DRAMA!!!  HA!  So, we shall update all of you again on Thursday.  Johnson will be at the hospital all day doing his transplant work up.  He has his stress test and Echo Cardiogram.  So say more prayers for us. Continue to pray for us.  Thursday is another day...all of you have been helping us get through this, thank you everyone!
